Pokemon GO Mom

Pokemon GO Mom

Hello Reader,

I know you’ve hear about it and I bet some of your kids or even you are playing it! Pokemon GO! I downloaded it on the eleventh just to see what all the fuss was about. Sometimes I can’t help myself when it comes to games. Haha

I never played the actual pokemon card game as a kid but I use to watch my little brothers play it all the time. As an adult in my early twenties I had a friend teach me how to play but I could never remember all the rules or I’d get them confused with the rules of MtG, a game I’ve been playing since I was thirteen.

Anyways, I downloaded the app for the game and have been trying to catch pokemon without it making such an impact on my daily lifestyle. It is definitely a game that requires you to actually invest a good amount of time in it.

Since the eleventh I’ve captured twenty-two pokemon not including duplicates and I thought I was doing good.

That was until my boyfriend came home from work this morning and told me he’d captured the nineteen pokemon after downloading the game last night.  My mouth dropped open, like I really don’t get out enough!

Catching any new pokemon is going to be difficult for me.

I can’t catch pokemon at work because our management had the GPS tracker block the game. Driving to work we are typically traveling too fast for my phone to even load them half the time, let alone actually catch one. I’ve gone pokemon hunting twice, once with my brother we drove around hitting as many poky stops as we could and once with my aunt. We went out to eat here in town to celebrate my birthday last month and afterwards drove down some back streets home catching some of those little guys!

Now that my boyfriend is playing, hunting for the little guys might actually become an activity we do on a family walk or something.  Keep an eye out for more on my catches!

That’s about all I have time for today but I hope you all will be back tomorrow and I’d love you hear from you. Questions, comments or ideas.

Thank you for reading, now go get your mom on!

Sincerely,

Blog of the Mom

    1. Admiring the time and effort you put into your website and in depth iniaomrtfon you provide. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed material. Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m including your RSS feeds to my Google account.

  1. Our son is loving Pokemon Go! I love that the game is getting kids outside and moving. I just wish their face wasn’t still glued to a screen
